About Course

This comprehensive online Crash Reconstruction course is designed for law enforcement officers, crash investigators, reconstructionists, and other professionals seeking a thorough understanding of the scientific principles used to reconstruct motor vehicle collisions.

Rather than focusing on software or memorizing formulas, this course emphasizes the underlying physics, mathematics, and engineering principles that form the foundation of crash reconstruction. Students develop the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to understand how collisions occur, interpret physical evidence, and apply accepted reconstruction methodologies to real-world investigations.

Topics

Prerequisites

This course is designed for students who have a foundational understanding of crash investigation principles and basic scene evidence documentation. Prior experience identifying and documenting common collision evidence, including tire marks, gouges, debris fields, vehicle rest positions, and other roadway evidence, is strongly recommended.

Crash Investigation & Scene Evidence or equivalent training is highly recommended.

Course Format

This course is delivered entirely online through a self-paced learning platform, allowing students to complete the material at their own pace while progressing through structured lessons, practical exercises, worksheets, and case studies.

Upon enrollment, students will receive 90 days of access to the course materials. During this period, lessons may be reviewed as often as needed, providing the flexibility to learn around work schedules and revisit concepts while completing assignments.

Students may access the course from any location with an internet connection using a computer or compatible mobile device.
